He was predeceased by: his parents, James Otto Balcom and Juanita Balcom (Riggs); his brothers, Ronnie Balcom, Chuck Balcom, Jon Balcom and Danny Balcom; and his brother-in-law Richard Prowell.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Suzanne Schwartz; his children, Nathan Balcom (Lindsay) and Jessica Boyd (Josh); his grandchildren, Emma, Jesse, Harry and Frankie; and his sister Cindy Prowell.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested and may be made payable to First Christian Church Mission Fund, in care of Daniel Funeral Home.
