With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Thelma Brazeel (Joplin, Missouri), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Thelma left this world on December 8, 2025 at the age of 96, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Jones and Iva Jones; her husband John Brazeel; and her siblings, Errol Jones, Joyce Risley, Kay Brown and June Kaleva.
She is survived by: her children, Janet Ketron (Rob), Paul Brazeel and Steven Brazeel (Marilyn); and her sisters, Dola Alexander and Lola Stoumbaugh. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Mason-Woodard Chapel (3701 E 7th St, Joplin, MO 64801). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions in Thelma's honor may be made to the Joplin Humane Society.
