He was predeceased by: his parents, James E. Fitzgerald and Marjorie "Colleen" Fitzgerald; his brother Terry G. Fitzgerald; and his pets, Candee, Yoda, Persia, Pepper, Robby, Usul, Tigger, Vincent, Klaatu, Dewey and Gort.

He is survived by: his wife Debbie; his stepsons, Tad Stricker and Paris Pacheco; his brothers, Michael Fitzgerald and James Kevin Fitzgerald; and his pets, Chani, Loui, Roz and Maceo.
