Edward touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis E VanVelkinburgh and Margaret L VanVelkinburgh (Young); his wife Dorothy J VanVelkinburgh (Thorton); and his children, Sandra Pickle, Joann Heibner, Terry VanVelkinburgh, Donald Colella and Phillip Colella.
He is survived by: his stepson Steven Colella (Elizabeth) of Keokuk, IA; and his daughters, Karen Guardino (Jack) of Lindenhurst, IL, Roseann Mohon (Johnny) of Rome, GA, Debra Colella of Camden, TN and Bonnie Creamer (Tim) of Beach Park, IL. He is also survived by many grandchildren, several great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Memorials contributions can be made to the grandson Duston Colella to help with expenses.
