She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Alan and Jackie Johnson; her brother-in-law Ryan Dougherty; and her uncle Rob Garkie. She is survived by: her parents, Tim Spurgeon and Bobbette Spurgeon (Johnson); her husband Travis Pitford; her children, Tristen Pitford and Emma Pitford; her brother Levi Spurgeon (Erica); her parents-in-law, Tom and Debbie Pitford; her siblings-in-law, Stacia Briscoe (Clint), Lana Dougherty and Levi Pitford (Melissa); her nieces and nephews, Evie Spurgeon, Waylon Spurgeon, Carter Briscoe, Caylee Briscoe, Maci Dougherty, Tuff Pitford and Gunnar Pitford; and her grandparents, Chet and Pat Spurgeon. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, extended family, and the many friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the St Paul United Church of Christ (323 N Washington St, Kahoka, MO 63445). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites friends to honor Jessica's memory in ways that reflect her love for her family and her desire to make a difference in the lives of others. Memorials may be made to help support Tristen and Emma's education, through the donation of children's books (Amazon Wish List (https://na01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com)) to be shared with children in Jessica's memory, or to METAvivor to support awareness and research for metastatic breast cancer.
