She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Brewer and Hazel Brewer (Courtney); her husband Carroll Nixon; her sons, Jay and Kent Nixon; and her siblings, Duane Brewer, Romaine Brewer, Richard "Dick" Brewer and Bettie Nichols.
She is survived by: her son Kevin Nixon (Tina); her daughter-in-law Gayla Nixon; and her grandchildren, Kendra Hostetter (Danny), Kale Nixon (Katrina), Jenna Cook (Mitch), Matt Nixon (Stephanie), Amanda Dodds (Doug) and Zach Nixon (Olivia). She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren, and many other relatives and close friends.
Memorial donations to Chambersburg Cemetery in Opal's name are gratefully accepted.
