He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbert Smith and Janet Davis Smith; his wife Karen Cannon Smith; his in-laws, Kenneth and Ella Mae Cannon; and his brother-in-law Mark Cannon.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kelsey Schmidt (Daniel) and Lindsey Smith (Tyler Roach); his grandchildren, Aiden Lesinski and Jakub Schmidt; his siblings, Alan Smith (Debbie), Connie Smith Gutting and Roger Smith (Brenda); and his siblings-in-law, Brenda Brown (Roy) and Kirby Cannon (Lisa). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
