With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Algetha Williams of Kansas City, Missouri, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Algetha left this world on June 22, 2025 at the age of 98, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edna Porter and Henry Porter; her husband Frank Williams Sr.; her siblings, Ruby Henry, Virginia Freeman, Carolyn Fulson, Alphonso Porter and Henry Porter Jr.; her children, Rev. Frank Williams Jr. and Janice William-Reed; and her grandsons, William Williams and Charles Martin.
She is survived by: her siblings, Catherine Donegen, Robert Porter, Harold Porter (Marjorie) and Earnest Porter (Blanche); her children, Frances Johnson, Charles Williams, Yvonne Williams, Richard Williams and Veronica Williams; and her son-in-law Richard Reed. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren; 47 great grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephew, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church (4545 Benton Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64130). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, July 5th 2025 at the Mount Washington Cemetery (614 S Brookside Ave, Independence, MO 64053).
