He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl McCreary and Grace Pearl McCreary (Isbell); his siblings, Nellie, Pearl, Mildred Kuder, Fern Howerton, Orlean Gates, Tracy, Emmett and Lillie Mae Edwards; his former wife Natalie Ann "Tommy" Tom; his brother Virgil; and his wife Rev. Helen Liston.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Wright (John) of Overland Park, Elizabeth Roths (Roger) of Wellington and Robert (Kathy) of Wichita; and his grandchildren, Amber Warlick (Billy), JD Banks, Berkley Matthews, Micah Matthews (Gigi), Chlo Matthews, Courtney Aungst (Douglas) and Jason Roths (Jessica). He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Cornejo Funeral Home & Crematory (1030 Mission Rd, Wellington, KS 67152). A burial will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at the Prairie Lawn Cemetery.
