He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Benjamin Lewis and Mary Katherine Lewis (Haverstick); his daughter Melissa Lewis; and his siblings, Ernest Lewis Jr., Opal Schillinger, Gladys Hammack, Cecil Lewis, Robert Lewis, Richard Lewis, Raymond Lewis, Mary Kathryn Flicke and John Lewis.
He is survived by: his siblings, David Lewis and Patricia Crain; his children, Karen McKarnin (Patrick), Jeannie Kautt (Fred) and Mark Lewis (Julia); his grandchildren, Matthew Stauss (Tammie), Benjamin Kautt, Mekiya Walters (Itto), Blair Soss (Brian) and Taryn Egan (Patrick); his great grandchildren, Crosby, Milo and Eliza; and his former wife Mary Alyce Lewis (Buff).
