He was predeceased by : his parents, Mary Goodbinder and Earl Goodbinder; and his brother Phillip Goodbinder. He is survived by : his wife Susan Simon; his children, Lisa (Seth Gortenburg), Todd (Jennifer) and Jay (Darcy); his sister Charlene Goodbinder; his grandchildren, Tali, Ava Gortenburg, Ella, Zoe, Regan Goodbinder, Gabriel and Benjamin Goodbinder; and his pets, Winnie, Sippy, Hayley and Winston.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Wayside Waifs, KC Pet Project or Kehilath Israel Synagogue.
