Clara leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Clara’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Clara will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Sumner Smith and Alta Mae Smith; and her son Kevin. She is survived by: her husband Elmer Leroy Ramzy; her children, Brenda J. Butts, Rhonda A. Jackson, Elmer L. Ramzy III, Jay P. Ramzy (Sonja) and Cheryl A. Jones (Kevin); and her sister Alice Smith. She is also survived by Her family also includes 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Watkins Heritage Chapel (4000 Emanuel Cleaver II Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64130). Visitation was held on Sunday, October 11th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at the Twelve Gates Cemetery.
