We are sad to announce that, on February 10, 2025, at the age of 69, David Alan Griffey of Kansas City, Missouri, born in Excelsior Springs, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James Calvin and Norma Jean Griffey (Smart); his niece Jennifer Carter; and his brother-in-law Dave Faye. He is survived by: his wife Shelley Lynn McBroom; his sons, James Griffey and Jonathan Griffey (Dalion); his stepdaughter Jennifer Foster; his sisters, Pam Pettit (Ron) and Cindy Faye; his nieces and nephews, Jason Carter, Josh Carter, Paul Wrigley, Kyle Jessip, Lane McBroom, Mason Smith, Michelle Pettit and Maci McBroom; and his siblings-in-law, Brent McBroom (Jennifer) and Julii Plumlee (Russ).
