He was predeceased by: his parents, V. Dan Cochran and F. Elaine Cochran. He is survived by: his wife Gini Cochran; his children, Jennifer Chase (Chris), Laura Cochran (David Schatz) and Daniel Cochran (Tori Hale); his grandchildren, Annabell, Adriel and Colton Chase; his siblings, Maridan Christensen (Larry), Douglas Cochran (Kimberly) and Alan Cochran (Jose Vasquez); and his mother-in-law Marilyn Gundermann. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in David's name may be made to the American Heart Association or the Parkinson's Association.
