With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Donald E. Hinkle of Kansas City, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 3, 2025 at the age of 92. He was predeceased by: his parents, Amos Hinkle and Edna E. Hinkle (Smith); his son Mark W. Hinkle; and his siblings, Stan, Bob, Billy and Dorothy Elam.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Reed; his daughter-in-law Alison; his grandchildren, Jeremiah Hinkle of Kansas City, MO., Jesse Hinkle of Lathrop Missouri, Joshua Hinkle of St Joseph Missouri and Rebekah Witvoet of Mackinaw Illinois; his great grandchildren, Logan, Jeremiah II, Jaxton, Violet, Edelene and Atticus; and his sibling's children, Gary Elam, Bob, Sue Elam, Doris Lee Retzlaff, Dianna, Steve Moonyham, Kent, Beth Reed, Laura, Dennis Shaefer, Stacie, Kerry Eikenbary, Phyllis Snider, Jamie and Angie Reed.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
