He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles W. Smith and Olive Maxine Smith (Kinder); and his brothers, Gerald Smith and Charles W. Smith. He is survived by: his wife Janet Sue Andrews; his daughters, Amy Erickson (Travis) of Liberty and Kari Chapman-Smith of Polo, Missouri; his grandchildren, Kylie Bolek (Brad) of Kearney, Shelby Erickson of Liberty, Mason Chapman of Polo and Emma Chapman of Polo, Missouri; his great grandchildren, Kensley, Callahan, Benton and Lyndy Ray; and his sister Charlene Engle (Jim) of Triplett, Missouri. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Park Lawn Funeral Home (1640 Rte 291, Liberty, MO 64068). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
