She was predeceased by: her parents, Sterling Edwards and Mary Edwards; and her siblings, Bea Portwood, Helen Hickman, Francis Folley and Sonny Edwards.
She is survived by: her husband Roy Simmons; her sons, Roy Simmons (Diane) and David Simmons (Beth); her sister Carolyn Sue Champ; her grandchildren, Krista Barnhart (Tony), Alex Simmons, Elizabeth Stewart and Sarah Stewart; and her great grandchildren, Ryleigh and Reid Barnhart.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Terrace Park Funeral Home & Cemetery (801 NW 108th St, Kansas City, MO 64155). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 22nd 2025 at 12:15 PM at the same location.
