He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Norris and Florence Mary Betz (Millard); his former wife Rita Betz; his stepson Dave Payne; and his mother-in-law Bessie Taylor.
He is survived by: his wife Julie Betz (Taylor); his daughters, Cheryl McCreery, Kim Shirley (Chuck) and Tammy Betz; his granddaughter Shelby Rosen (Anthony); his stepson Kenny Payne (Jessica); and his stepgrandchildren, Emma, Mary Anne and Sammy Payne. He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Northland Cathedral (101 NW 99th St, Kansas City, MO 64155). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, December 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
