It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward Neil Karaff of Kansas City, Missouri, who passed away on August 11, 2025, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Raymond Paul Karaff; his friend Mitch Rowe; his wife Barbara Ellen Karaff (Rome); and his pet PJ. He is survived by: his mother Betty Josephine Karaff (Schillie); his friends, Gene Smith, Mike Crippen and Jim Thompson; his siblings, Gary Karaff (Kim) and Ramah Leone; his nieces, Adrienne Ferreira (Garon), Sarah Knepper (Drew) and Rachelle Caldwell (Matty); his nephew Mikal; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Abryenne, Emryenne, Raymond, Jett, Case, Harrison, Maxwell and Cruz "Scooter"; Claire.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York City, New York, or to Wayside Waifs, 3901 Martha Truman Road, Kansas City, Missouri.

“I worked with Neil in the mid 70s and unfortunately, we did not keep in touch. He was such a nice man and a pleasure to work with. I remember for a time that he carried a Bible to work and placed it on the cook's line shelf for reference. I also remember his brown Gran Torino, and he once said, "Well my car is 7 years old now and things are going to start going wrong with it; time to look for a new car." Funny the things remember. And his laugh! My deepest condolences to family and friends.”
