It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Edward Lee Short of Kansas City, Missouri, born in Blackburn, Missouri, who passed away on November 6, 2023, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ollie Short and Mamie Short; his wife Peggy Jane Todd; his daughter Janet Short; and his sisters, Marge Easterwood and Maxine Crowder.
He is survived by: his children, Jerry (Melodie Powell) of Kansas City, Missouri, Judy Walker (Tim) of Dearborn, Missouri and Jeanne Oliphant (Terry) of Turney, Missouri.; his grandchildren, Brian Walker (Tammy), Brad Walker, Beth Walker, Cody Walker (Megan), Tara Lang (Shane) and Nathan Oliphant (Amy); and his caregiver Sonja. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, and for those who wish to remember Ed in a special way, memorial contributions may be made to Gower Convalescent Center, or a charity of their choice.
