With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elwyn Cooper (Kansas City, Missouri), who passed away on August 8, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Amiel Cooper and Annie Cooper; and his wife Katie Cooper. He is survived by: his daughters, Vicky Slaybaugh (Jerry), Terresa Jones (Jack), Janet Taylor and Nancy Ley (Jim); his siblings, Dora Hall and Gary Cooper; and his close friend Dee McIntire. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

In recognition of his contributions to the sport, he was inducted into the Missouri Horseshoe Pitchers Hall of Fame in 1993, an honor that underscored his significant achievements.
