She was predeceased by: her husband John C. Williams; her son John Clifford Williams, Jr.; her parents, Eddie Carson and Edrena Carson; her siblings, Iris Morgan, Eddie O. Carson, Jr. and Johnny Carson; her aunt Maggie; and her uncle Isaiah Bell.

She is survived by: her children, Warner M. Williams (Pamela), Margaret A. Williams (Bill), Barrett and Ermette P. Williams; her grandchildren, Harry Robottom (Amanda), Erik Williams, Nicole King (Anthony), James Maxwell Purce (Katrina), Margaret Purce and Lauren Williams; and her great grandchildren, Kaleb Williams, Harry Robottom, IV, William Robottom, Alexander Robottom, Zara King and Anthony King, Jr. (A. J.). She is also survived by children; she also cared for children.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mrs. Williams may be made to: The Erma L. Williams Learning Center, c/o Paseo Baptist Church, 2501.
