We announce the death of Evelyn Faye Phillips of Kansas City, Missouri, who passed away on July 3, 2026, at the age of 92. Evelyn will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Rodgers and Jesse Rodgers; her husband James Phillips; and her siblings, Wilbur Rodgers, Virginia Unger and Venita Parsons.
She is survived by: her son Dennis Lee True (Janet); and her grandchildren, Jeremy True (Alyssa), Jennifer Declet (Jose), Jeanette Eastwood (Derek), Robin LaPointe (Michael) and Carol Edelmann (Eric). She is also survived by great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to The Missouri Conservation Heritage Foundation (mochf.org) in honor of Evelyn's lifelong love of nature.
