He was predeceased by: his parents, William Julius Van Compernolle and Regina Claus; his brothers, William J. Van Compernolle and Richard Van Compernolle; and his son Craig Allen Van Compernolle.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine; and his children, Scott Michael Van Compernolle, Mark Joseph Van Compernolle of Baton Rouge, LA and Tamara Jo Smith (Gregg) of Lee Summit. He is also survived by three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; also many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and dear friends.
