She was predeceased by: her parents, Lizzie B. Henson and Claude Henson; her daughters, Rubye Pegues and Linda McNeely; her grandsons, Steffen Brown and George Taylor; and her great grandchild Alaysia Nelson.
She is survived by: her children, Doris Tolbert and George Brown Jr. (Gwen); her siblings, Billye Tolbert (Edward), Wanda Bradley and Douglas Henson; her aunt Irene Colemen; her niece Angela Potter; her grandchildren, Keith, LaChelle, LaTonya, Catrice, Sheri, Roshonda, Sheronda and Carmella (Eric); her great grandchild Drake; and her grandchildren, Rico, Ashley, Mikeila, Khalen, Ameila, Heaven, Soraja, Erica, Olivia, Messiah, Naomi and Ariah. She is also survived by one great great-grandchild Malaysia; a host of other relatives; church family; and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Swope Parkway Church of Christ (5620 Swope Pkwy, Kansas City, MO 64130). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
