He was predeceased by: his parents, Ozell Grissom and Herman Lovett; his brother Calvin Lovett; and his uncle Joe. He is survived by: his wife Annie Lovett; his daughter Burnetta Burtin (Eric); his grandchildren, Lynnette Williams (Lex), Maya Burtin, Telitra Burtin-Johnson (Josh) and Eric Tyrice Burtin (Julie); his great grandchildren, Avery Williams, Landon Williams, Tessa Burtin and Micah Burtin; and his siblings, Darlene Johnson, Charles Smith, Larry Johnson (Jeanette), Eileen Johnson and Deborah Kelly (William).
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Monica Catholic Church (1616 The Paseo, Kansas City, MO 64108). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
