Janice Lee McDowell Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on July 13, 2025, at the age of 88, Janice Lee McDowell of Kansas City, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Marguerite Lawson and Orton Lawson (Sam McDowell); her children, Stephanie Morris and Steven Morris; and her stepson Sam Thomas McDowell.

She is survived by: her sisters, Shirley Austin and Susan Francis; her nephews, Phil Austin, Christopher and Michael Francis; and her stepchildren, David, Paul, Mark McDowell and Jenice Webster. She is also survived by 15 Grandkids.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested for contributions to be made to the American Cancer Society.
