He was predeceased by: his parents, William Franklin Simmers and Mary Ellen Simmers (Shillings); and his sister Pamela. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Christine Coates; his children, Kristy Liber (Doug) and Jake Simmers; his grandchildren, Zak (Abigail), Kyle, Courtney, Casey, Katie and Josh; his great grandchild Hadleigh; and his siblings, Billie Jean Rowe and Richard F. "Rick" Simmers (Marilyn). He is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
