With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joe W. Hill (Kansas City, Missouri), who passed away on November 25, 2025 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Joe may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He is survived by: his wife Shenita Butler Hill; his stepchildren, Mark Porter and Althea Porter of Kansas City, MO; and his siblings, R. J. Chase of Kansas City, MO, Willie Hill of Leavenworth, KS, Samuel Hill (Kim) and Elvia Brown of Kansas City, MO. He is also survived by grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins other relatives and friends.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sunlight Missionary Baptist Church (4444 Woodland Ave, Kansas City, MO 64110).
