He was predeceased by: his parents, Grace Louise Spencer McCray and Johnnie Joel McCray, Jr.; his grandparents, Kylie Spencer, Lucille Spencer, Johnnie McCray, Sr. and Ivory McCray; and his cousin James Spencer.
He is survived by: his brothers-in-law, Louis Schooler (Joe) and Mitchell Daniel Pearson; his nieces and nephews, JoAnna Schooler, Shannon Schooler-Garrett (Jearl), Joel Oliver Pearson (Melissa), Magan Pearson and Dr. Darion Pearson; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Josiah Pearson, Nicholas Pearson, Lela Louise Garrett and Analise Simone Pearson.
