It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John William Odom Sr. (Kansas City, Missouri), who passed away on March 22, 2026, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though John may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those John touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Odom and Ruth Odom (Button). He is survived by: his wife Helen Marie Sellegren; his sisters, Judy Odom and Trudy Odom of Hadden Heights; his son John; his granddaughters, Hayley and Hannah; his son Richard; his grandchildren, Brittney Worthy (Hatcher), Brooke Stanley (Dylan), Blaire Landry and Bennett Landry; and his great grandchild Lucas Stanley.
