She was predeceased by: her parents, Wallace Shields and Helen Shields (Dorrell); her brother Larry Shields (Roy Van Meter); and her grandson Zachary Hunt. She is survived by: her daughters, Lori Overton (Rod), Blue Springs, Kelly Herbert (Wayne), Wichita and Vicki Borlin (Jon); her grandchildren, Brandon Byrd (Anna), Brittany Schlapia (Chad), Jennifer Overton, Brad Overton (Erin), Maxx Borlin and Tobi Borlin; and her siblings, Pamela Doutt (Dick) and Steve Shields. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
