It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kedar Muhammad (Kansas City, Missouri), who passed away on March 8, 2026, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Brown, Sr. and Beatrice Green; his stepfather Alvin Green; and his siblings, Raymond Young and Gloria Thomas.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Muhammad; his daughters, Dr. Usamah Muhammad-Rodgers and Karima Muhammad; his grandchildren, Ayesha Rodgers, Armon Rodgers, Mylan Collins and Khalil Sheldon; his siblings, James Brown II (Anita), Patricia Brown and Deborah Young; and his former wives, Safiyyah Muhammad and Janice Muhammad. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
