Marcel Matson Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 7, 2025, at the age of 96, Marcel Matson (Kansas City, Missouri) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Marcel leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen and Jack; and his parent-in-law Shirley Jean Small. He is survived by: his children, David (Susan), Risa, Jeffrey (Stephanie) and Gregg (Marilyn); and his nephew Chuck Berlau. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Louis Memorial Chapel (6830 Troost Ave, Kansas City, MO 64131). A burial was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at the Rose Hill Cemetery.
