She is survived by: her children, Richard Melcher (Barbara) of Chicago, Laurie Benjamin (David) of Carmel Valley, CA and Lynne Melcher (Barry Kaseff) of Kansas City; her grandchildren, Lucy Coady (John) of Austin, TX, Charlotte Berlin (Michael) of Chicago, Henry Melcher (Claire Rothrock) of Brooklyn, NY, Elizabeth Levit (Marc) of San Francisco and David T. Benjamin of Brooklyn, NY; her great grandchildren, Sophie, Emma Berlin, Archie, Hugo Rothrock Melcher and Penelope (Nell); her friends, Randy Clark and Dr. Tom Maddox of San Diego; and her caregivers, Bernise Coleman, Vera Coleman, Nikki Coleman, Terell Coleman, Tanika Harris-Butler, Shawn Gay and Nylo Clarke.
