She was predeceased by: her parents, John Watson and Marjorie Dorothy Tomlin (Roberts); and her brother Dean Tomlin. She is survived by: her daughter Melanie Ann Haas (David); her granddaughter Mary Grace Haas (Gracie); her sister-in-law Peggy Tomlin; her nephews, John Tomlin (Sara) and Michael Tomlin (Becky); and her siblings, John R. Tomlin, Jerry Sone (Carolyn) and Dennis Tomlin (Janice).
She graduated from East High School and enjoyed participating in Job's Daughters, (a professional organization for young women that teaches the values of leadership, public speaking, charity, respect for parents and elders, and teamwork).
