She was predeceased by: her mother Dorothy Gillen. She is survived by: her father Edward Gillen; her siblings, Michael Bartnik (Dianna) and Michele Thornhill (Mike); her niece Maddie Thornhill; her godson Zach Thornhill; and her niece Caylee Thornhill. She is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McGilley's State Line Chapel (12301 State Line Rd, Kansas City, MO 64145).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to KC Pet Project, honoring Melisa's lifelong love for animals.
