He was predeceased by: his parents, Irving Abend and Martha Abend (Maltzman); his daughter Nicole Abend Nenon; and his sisters, Ruth Krigel Tivol and Marsha Goldman.
He is survived by: his daughters, Denise Chamblee (Gary Tanner), Janna Pinsky (Steve) and Melanie Leeves (Jason); his son-in-law Chris Nenon; his grandchildren, Jordan, Devon, Cole Nenon, Gillian, Kendall Pinsky, Mason, MacKennon and Maddox Leeves; his great grandchild Graham Woodard; his former wife Sama Sanditen Hoffman; his nieces and nephews, Merilyn Berenbom (Loren), Kathy Krigel Hawley, James Krigel (Felicia), Joel Goldman (Hildy) and Susan Tivol (Tom); and his cousins, Steve Abend (Barbara) and Yigal Rotman (Miriam). He is also survived by many other extended family members and friends.
