He was predeceased by : his parents, Elvin Heater and Ann Heater; and his aunt Margaret DiGiovanna. He is survived by : his wife Mary; and his sons, Michael Jr. and Mark Heater.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Faith Community Church (4214 NW Cookingham Dr, Kansas City, MO 64164). A memorial service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Faith Community Church (4330 NW Cookingham Dr, Kansas City, MO 64164). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the Faith Community Church (4214 NW Cookingham Dr, Kansas City, MO 64164).
