He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter E. Foiles and V. Fern Foiles (Dove). He is survived by: his wife Elaine; his children, Daniel Lindgren (Elizabeth) and Emily Lindgren (Tyler Mergel); his grandchildren, Evangeline, Flora, Millie Lindgren and Alia Mergel; and his siblings, Kevin Foiles of Cortez, CO and Patricia Payne (Kenny) of Kansas City.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
