It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Philip R. Patterson (Kansas City, Missouri), born in Ottawa, Kansas, who passed away on April 15, 2026, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles Richard and Bernice Patterson; his nephews, John Sutter and Nick Campbell; his daughters, Angela Battles (Michael), Sara Bradley (Christopher), Lisa Heinemann (John), Emily Patterson and Kate Patterson; his grandchildren, Jack Dale, Reece Carson, Davis Carson, Adalyn Carson, Emma Heinemann and Carson Heinemann; and his siblings, Robert Patterson (Ardis) and Kathleen Sutter. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, and countless friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Second Marine Division Association Memorial Scholarship Fund or Shriners Children's, in care of Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home, 1616 Poyntz Ave, Manhattan, KS 66502.
