It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Phyllis Sanford of Kansas City, Missouri, who passed away on September 10, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elizabeth and Leornard; her sister Bernice Collins (Henry); her son Joseph Wallace McCurdy; her grandson Wally Adam McCurdy; and her great grandchild Arianna Lindsey.
She is survived by: her children, Ronald McCurdy (Mary) and Martha DeVries (Mike); her daughter-in-law Debbie Monk; her grandchildren, John McCurdy (Wendy), Solomon Garrison (Bethany), Alisha McCurdy (Chris), Hannah Lohr (Greg) and Haley Medellin (Braxton); and her great grandchildren, Zeda Anderson (Caleb), Jack McCurdy, Elsie, Emersyn Lohr, Theo, Birdie Medellin, Briella Garrison and Marley McCurdy. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the National Heights Baptist Church (3050 N National Ave, Springfield, MO 65803). A memorial service was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
