He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter J. Berkowitz and Erni Berkowitz; and his brother Eliot Berkley. He is survived by: his wife Sandy; his children, Elizabeth and Jon Berkley (Heather); and his grandchildren, Ashton, McKenna and Jack.
