He was predeceased by: his wife Wanda Perkins; his parents, Fred Perkins and Lula Perkins; his son Richard Perkins Jr.; his brothers, Billy Perkins and Gary Perkins; and his grandson Eric Perkins.
He is survived by: his children, Chris Perkins (Kim), Sandra Brower of Independence, MO, Debbie Walling of Independence, MO, Sherry Mathis of Omaha, NE, Billie Redden (Gene) of Independence, MO and Robyn German (Nick) of Belton, MO; and his sister Carol Perkins of Independence, MO. He is also survived by 18 Grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.
