It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rita A. Wilkus in Kansas City, Missouri, who passed away on January 23, 2026, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Kincaid and Helen Kincaid (Kaumans); her husbands, Donald J. Banhart and Jim Wilkus of Peter's Catholic Church; her brothers, Bernard, James Gregory, Paul, Ben and Timothy; her grandson Forrest D. Wilkus; and her nephew Douglas Kincaid.
She is survived by: her children, Staci Banhart, David J. Banhart and Paul Wilkus (Laura); her siblings, Delores Schoneburger (Richard), David and Joseph Kincaid (Linda); her grandchildren, Trevor Banhart, Vira Wilkus, Avery Wilkus, Dylan J. Banhart, Karly Banhart and Jimmy P. Banhart; and her great grandchild Vivian Banhart.
In lieu of flowers, the Rita requested memorial contributions be made to the St. Agnes Adoration Chapel (https://onrealm.org), or to the Ursuline Sister of Mount Saint Joseph in her memory.
