With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert W. Smith (Kansas City, Missouri), who passed away on June 17, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Robert had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Robert may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, C. E. Smith (Bill) and Jean Smith (Hostetter); his sister Barbara Jackson; and his former wife Ruth Pickett Smith of Topeka, Kansas.. He is survived by: his wife Deloris Schwada; and also, Steve Smith (Mary Beth) of Lake Quivira, KS, Mike Smith (Shelly) of Saunderstown, RI, Brent Smith (Cherryl) of Tonganoxie, KS and Jay Smith. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
