It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Samuel Williams Jr. (Kansas City, Missouri), who passed away on July 9, 2025, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Samuel shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Samuel farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Houston Williams and Aurelia Corbrey; and his wife Zelma O. Williams. He is survived by: his son Roddy W. Williams; his daughter-in-law Linda Escareno-Williams; his grandchildren, Vicenta C. Williams, Sparkle O. Williams and Heaven'Lee C. Williams; and his great grandchildren, RaLen G. Hardin II and Elijah C. Williams.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. John Missionary Baptist Church (5906 Kenwood Ave, Kansas City, MO 64110). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Leavenworth Nat'L Cemetery.
