She was predeceased by: her mother Myrtle L. Johnson; and her brother Osmund Q. Johnson. She is survived by: her father Harrel L. Johnson; her siblings, Aljurita "Rena" Spears and Harrel F. Johnson (Dianna); and her nieces and nephews, Lakeisha Johnson, DeAndre Pierre Johnson (Genee), Harrel Spears (Tosha), Dominique Johnson and LaToya Johnson.
She continued her support for Lincoln University through attending annual homecomings and donations to the school.
