She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Kaiser and Agnes Kaiser; her husband Phillip Elder; and her siblings, Thomas Kaiser and Caroline Kaiser Wootten.
She is survived by: her siblings, Mary, Don, Dan and Ron; her children, T. R. Elder, Caroline Elder Danda (Matt), Tom Elder and Emily Elder; and her grandchildren, Lucy, Tommy, Macie, Ryan, Jay and Drew.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, December 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Thomas More Catholic Church (11822 Holmes Rd, Kansas City, MO 64131).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Catholic Charities in Sylvia Elder's memory.
