He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Gordon and Dorothea; his stepmother Mary Elizabeth "Libby"; his sister Kathryn Murphy; his sister-in-law Frances Gordon; and his stepsiblings, William Whitaker and Frances Peterman.
He is survived by: his wife Earlene Gordon (Farr); his children, Michael Gordon (Kim), Paul Gordon (Amy) and Kathryn "Betsy" Gordon Smith (Marlin); his former wife DeAnna Gordon; his granddaughters, Annie Gordon, Emily Gordon, Eleanor Smith, Dorothy Smith, Louisa Smith and Imogen Smith; his siblings, John Gordon and Margaret Louvier (Tony); and his stepsiblings, Mary Jane Davis, Linda Page (Bob), James Whitaker (Leslie), John Whitaker (Marg) and Christopher Whitaker (Kaitlin). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Tom's memory to the following: Rockhurst High School, the Heart of America Boy Scout Council, or St. Michael the Archangel Catholic High School.
